When it comes to offering innovative courses to sharpen skills, advance careers and remain competitive in the industry, Merit College of Construction is your one-stop construction training provider. Our online, in-class (where applicable) and on-site programs will help your team gain useful leadership skills, learn new construction skills and ensure your supervisors have the know-how to successfully do their jobs.
Known as the supervisor training program for construction in Canada, Merit’s flagship Supervisory Training Program closes the skill gap between foremen and other supervisory staff.
STP provides valuable productivity, communication and time management skills so your supervisors can expertly coach, connect and create a respectful workplace for their teams. This program offers 11 modules that are updated regularly to reflect current industry standards.
Merit’s Leadership Development Program provides the knowledge and skills required for effective leadership in the construction industry.
Participants will discover what it means to be a leader in today’s complex work environment and develop the best practices to address key leadership challenges.
In collaboration with Morneau Shepell, Merit has launched the Workplace Mental Health Leadership™ Certificate Program for Merit members. This program is the first of its kind in Canada, developed in partnership with the Bell Canada Mental Health and Anti-stigma Research Chair and the Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen’s University. Over the course of three modules, participants explore the ever-expanding business case for a mentally healthy workplace.
