We made a few changes to this year’s program. We’ve gone digital with nominations and the awards presentation. Merit wants to recognize those that have persevered and worked hard this past year.
This year, Merit will honour two top apprentices in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Nova Scotia with the Top Provincial Merit Apprentice of the Year Award. Criteria and nomination links are below.

Merit National recognizes two Apprentice of the Year Awards per province – Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. This award recognizes excellent achievement, both on-the-job and in school.
Criteria: Nominees are apprentice trades persons employed by a Merit Member company in good standing. Nominees exhibit the following:
Recognition: Each recipient will receive a cash award and will be profiled on Merit’s digital platforms. Winners and shortlisted nominees are required to have their photo taken.
